China-US trade war

US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer said on Tuesday that the United States has informed Brazil of its concerns about China’s moves to expand its influence in the South American country.

China is already Brazil’s largest trading partner.

White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow echoed Lytheeser’s comments, made at a forum hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce, saying, “Washington has urged the Brazilian government to ensure that” we are watching China carefully “regarding 5G and other advanced technologies.”

Kudlow added that the United States hopes Brazil will keep a “cautious and critical eye on Chinese investment.”
