The official website of the controversial ” The Dissident” has announced that it will start showing all over the United States to coincide with Christmas.
The site published the movie’s social media advertisement indicating that it can be viewed in cinemas starting from December 25 and then becomes available for purchase on the premium video-on-demand channels on January 8th.
The film’s release coincides with the first anniversary of its release on January 24, 2020, when it premiered on this date at the Sundance Film Festival in the United States. The show was attended by Hillary Clinton and Khadija Genghis, the fiancee of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The story of the documentary, directed by American director Brian Vogel, revolves around the case of the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.
Briarcliff Entertainment, which acquired the rights to the film, has previously announced that it will make it available for screening in cinemas and via special order in late 2020, coinciding with the second anniversary of Khashoggi’s murder.
