Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said, Thursday, that the presidency is not suitable for women due to the emotional difference between her and the man, and rejected speculation that his daughter may succeed him next year.
“My daughter will not run,” Duterte said at the inauguration of a highway project referring to his daughter.
“This (work) does not suit women. You know that the emotional formation of a woman is completely different from that of a man. This is the sad story,” he added.
Two women presidents of the Philippines previously were Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo from 2001 to 2010 and Corazon Aquino from 1986 to 1992.
