A public opinion poll in the United States indicated that more than half of Americans considered Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden a winner in their first televised debate with President Donald Trump.

According to the results of the survey, conducted by CNBC with Change Research, 53% of those surveyed considered Biden’s performance in the debate stronger, while 29% supported Donald Trump.

Forty-five percent of respondents said Trump’s performance in the debate was worse than they expected, while only 11 percent said the same about Biden.

And 77% of Americans expressed their disappointment with the atmosphere of the debate, considering that it does not arouse feelings of pride in them.

And 54% of the respondents confirmed their intention to vote for Biden during the elections, while 41% intend to vote for Trump. Only 2% said they changed their opinions about the candidates after the debate.

The poll included 925 US citizens all over the country, and the error rate is estimated at 3.22%.
