On Wednesday, former US President Barack Obama will participate in a field campaign event to support his former deputy, Joe Biden, who is facing Republican candidate Donald Trump in the November 3 election.
The Biden campaign team announced Friday that “President Obama will travel October 21 to Philadelphia to campaign for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris,” the vice-presidential candidate. No details were available at the time about the event.
Philadelphia is one of the most important states in the presidential election, and Trump won it by a narrow margin in 2016.
Barack Obama, who is widely popular with Democratic voters, announced his support for Joe Biden in April, believing that he was able to lead Americans “during one of our darkest times” in the light of a severe crisis in the country as a result of the emerging Coronavirus.
Obama also helped raise funds for the Biden campaign in June.
