Scientists have discovered a new variant of the Coronavirus in more than 12 counties of the US state of California, linked to infections that were recorded in Santa Clara County.

A new variant of Corona has been found in California that differs from the British: Biden’s handling of the epidemic will only be scientific and 100 million vaccinations in 100 possible days
It remains unclear whether the new variant is more contagious or if it has become easier to identify as laboratories determine its genetic sequence.

University of California virologist Charles Chiu revealed that the new variant in California has three new mutations and was first discovered in Denmark in March.

The variant L452R differs from the highly contagious mutation that was first identified in Britain and known as B.1.1.7 and was detected in 18 states, according to US federal data.

“This virus continues to mutate and adapt, and 90 cases have been recorded in San Jose,” said Dr. Sarah Cody, director of the Santa Clara County Department of Public Health.
