Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador confirmed today, Thursday, that his country will allocate in the coming day’s funds worth 10 billion pesos ($ 456 million) to develop an anti-Corona drug.

“Today they will present us with proposals, we have the financial resources, and there are already proposals from companies,” Lopez Obrador said in his morning briefing.
He added, “We are only checking that there is seriousness in the agreements.”
He continued: “We have the resources available, and we do not want to be ignored in the issue of medicines related to fighting the pandemic.”
It should be noted that Mexico recorded the eighth largest death toll from Corona injuries in the world with 743216 injuries, and the fourth largest death toll with 77,646 deaths, coming after the United States, Brazil, and India.
