American designer Tom Ford has announced the release of a luxury watch made from 100% ocean waste, as part of an initiative to contribute to protecting the environment.
According to his page on “Twitter”, the Tom Ford Ocean Plastic Watch is signed by Tom Ford, and is distinguished by its black color and elegance and made entirely of plastic lying in the ocean.
Ford said, “Every year, more than 8 million tons of plastic waste enter the ocean, and every hour of plastic waste purchased from Ocean Plastic removes the equivalent of 35 bottles of plastic waste from the ocean, with the possibility of recycling all packages.”

He continued: “The manufacture of the watch from recycled plastic does not diminish its luxury character, as it is made with care and very durable, and it has the words Ocean Plastic inscribed on its dial to remind the initiative that every person who owns this watch takes in the field of environmental protection.”
