Snow is expected to reach 24 inches in the Great Basin and the central Rocky Mountains

Weather experts predicted that a “massive” winter storm would sweep the United States throughout this week, accompanied by heavy snow and strong winds from the East Coast to the West Coast until New Year’s Eve.

The “Daily Mail” website described the upcoming storm as “the last punch of the year 2020,” since it comes at the end of a year full of “unfortunate events.”

Snow is expected to reach 24 inches in the Great Basin and the central Rocky Mountains, and heavy rains are expected on the Gulf and the East Coast on New Year’s Eve.

Predictions indicate that the largest snowfall will be on Tuesday and Wednesday in parts of Nebraska and Iowa, southern Wisconsin, and northwestern Illinois.

The Central Plains and parts of the Central Mississippi Valley are also expected to see rain or hail throughout Tuesday, with snowfall ranging from 4 to 8 inches on the ground over parts of the Midwest, according to “Fox News”.
