11 September
9-11 attacks

The US federal authorities uncovered an indictment against a Kenyan man who attempted to launch an attack along the lines of the 11 September attacks on behalf of the “Al-Shabaab terrorist movement”, affirming that the Kenyan is currently being held without bail.

During a videoconference hearing in Manhattan Federal Court, Abdullah confirmed his innocence of the charges against him.

Prosecutors said Abdullah received flight training in the Philippines and obtained a pilot’s license in preparation for the attack.

They stated that Abdullah began planning the attack in 2016 with the direction of a youth leader who was involved in planning a deadly 2019 attack on a hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.
