Sources told the “South China Morning Post” newspaper that a police dog will be sent to an animal quarantine center of the Hong Kong government after it was infected with the Coronavirus.
The sources said that last Saturday, the authorities collected oral samples from the German shepherd dog, in addition to 13 other dogs working at Hong Kong Airport, noting that one of the 7 airport police officers had tested positive for Corona.
The sources stated that five of the seven policemen, including the dog responsible, are from the special task force assigned to the travel center. She said that the test results released on Tuesday confirmed that the dog had the virus, while the results of the 13 other dogs’ tests were negative.
