Prince Harry and his wife Megan signed a partnership for several years with “Spotify” to produce a podcast entitled “Archwell Audio”, after an important contract he recently signed with “Netflix“, the Swedish platform announced Tuesday.
Spotify indicated that the first podcast will be a year-end episode broadcast in the coming weeks and includes “stories of hope and compassion”, with “inspiring guests to celebrate the New Year.”
Neither the Swedish platform nor the royal duo disclosed the value of the deal.
Although Harry and Meghan currently live in California, “the strength in their voice lies in their position as global citizens,” said Spotify content officer Don Ostrov in a statement noting that the couple will seek to make the “voices of marginalized groups heard.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, pulling out of royal commitments, said, “What we love about the podcasts is that they remind us all to take the time to really listen and communicate with each other without distraction.”
“With the challenges of 2020, this matter has become more important than ever, because when we listen to each other and hear each other’s stories, it reminds us of how connected we are,” the couple added in a statement.
The couple abandoned their royal obligations in April after showing a desire for independence, especially financially.
The two will especially produce works for the “Netflix” platform, including a documentary series about nature and a series dedicated to women who marked history, according to an agreement announced in September and the press estimated its value at more than one hundred million dollars.
