RT correspondent reported that the federal authorities in the German city of Hanover have prevented entry to 63 passengers who came on a flight from London due to the new Corona strain.
Our correspondent quoted a regional spokeswoman as saying that the passengers will have to stay in the airport buildings until the results of the Corona tests appear.
“Our goal is to prevent the new type of virus from spreading to Lower Saxony,” said Andreas Kranz, head of the department of public health in the Hanover region.
And British Health Minister Matthew Hancock announced last week that “a new strain of Coronavirus has been identified in the country that is spreading faster than the first strain.”
He said: “The new strain is spread from person to person easier than the previous one, and therefore it is more infectious.”
