The latest data published by the Edison Research Center showed that the US Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden, is ahead of the current president Donald Trump by 0.3% in the crucial state of Pennsylvania.
The center pointed out that the results of counting 96% of the vote indicate that Biden won 49.5% of the vote, compared to 49.2% for Trump.
As for the other crucial states, Trump is leading in it after counting 98% of the vote in North Carolina, winning 50% against Biden’s 48.6%.
In Arizona, where 94% of the vote has been counted, Biden is expected to receive 49.9% and Trump will 48.6%.
In Nevada, the Democratic candidate also leads, as he is expected to win 49.8% against 48% for Trump, after counting 93% of the vote.
It is noteworthy that the latest estimates indicate that Biden has obtained 253 votes from the electoral college so far, while he needs 270 votes to win.
Biden will win the presidency if he wins the elections in Pennsylvania (20 votes from the electoral college) or if he wins in two of the states in which the voting results have not yet been decided.
