US Director of Intelligence John Ratcliffe considered China the biggest threat to democracy and freedom in the world since World War II.
“The intelligence information is clear: Beijing intends to dominate the United States and the rest of the world economically, militarily, and technically,” he wrote in an opinion piece published in the Wall Street Journal.
He added that Beijing poses “the greatest threat to America today, and the greatest threat to democracy and freedom worldwide since World War II.”
He pointed out that the Chinese “economic espionage approach” consists of three aspects: “theft, copying, and exchange.”
He added that the Chinese authorities “conducted tests” on members of the Chinese army “in the hope of developing soldiers with enhanced biological capabilities,” without providing further details on this claim.
