Fox News reported that a mass event of supporters of the current US President Donald Trump in Washington ended in clashes with the police.
Ahead of the approval of Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election in the US Congress, several hundreds of Trump supporters are demanding that the votes of members of the electorate from the disputed states not be taken into account, where Biden won by a narrow margin. At first, the demonstration went quietly, without the participation of far-right groups who had attended such actions earlier.
The clashes began between the demonstrators and the police on Tuesday evening. Police used pepper spray to disperse the demonstrators, and during that time they arrested at least six people for having committed various violations of the law, including possession of weapons and ammunition and attacking police officers.
