The campaign for Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden, announced today, Wednesday, that its legal teams will be ready if US President Donald Trump implements his threat to go to court.
“If the president (Trump) fulfills his threat to go to court to try to prevent proper vote counting, we have legal teams ready to confront this endeavor,” Biden’s campaign manager, Jen O’Malley Dillon, said in a statement.
The former Republican president accused his Democratic opponent of a “major fraud”, saying that Biden and his Democratic supporters artificially suspended the vote count, while Trump supporters were preparing to “celebrate the remarkable result on a grand scale.”
Trump suggested that the Biden team, after realizing that it was unable to win, decided to go to court to determine the election results.
As Trump said, “This is a major fraud and we want to use the law appropriately, so we intend to go to the Supreme Court. We demand the end of voting, and we don’t want Democrats to find new ballot papers at 4:00 in the morning tomorrow.”
