Jane Psaki, assistant Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on devolution matters, said he will receive briefings from national security experts next week.
She added during her interview with reporters today, Friday, that Biden discussed his government’s options with his advisers this week, and that he will also continue to communicate with lawmakers in Congress about the stimulus package to confront the Corona pandemic.
It is reported that prominent Republican leaders demanded that Biden be briefed on intelligence information, which is usually provided to the president-elect as part of the power transfer process.
Earlier, the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, said Biden should receive the intelligence briefings.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump and some close to him continue to refuse to accept the announced results of the US elections.
