French media reported that an armed man held his wife hostage in the town of Dumont in the Val d’Oise region, north of Paris, noting that at least two people were wounded by bullets in the accident.
And according to Agence France-Presse, quoting its sources, the man opened fire inside the headquarters of a company on Thursday evening, wounding at least two people.
For its part, sources told the French “BFMTV” channel that the man is the director of this company and is holding his wife hostage, adding that several people were inside the building at the time of the accident.
The “BFMTV” indicated that the rapid response unit of the French gendarmerie was deployed at the scene of the accident and that the local public prosecutor had opened an investigation into the matter, the nature of which was not clear until now.
