The Turkish security forces, at dawn today, Saturday, arrested a large number of suspects belonging to the “Fethullah Gulen” organization in Istanbul, according to the official Turkish “Anatolia” agency.

The agency quoted security sources as saying that the anti-terror teams of the Istanbul Security Directorate raided the addresses of wanted persons in a number of areas in the city, with the aim of arresting 35 persons suspected of belonging to the “Fethullah Gulen” organization, which the Turkish state classifies as a terrorist.

The same sources added that a number of them were seized after storming 32 pre-defined addresses and taken to the Security Directorate to complete the legal procedures against them.

The Turkish authorities accuse the cleric Fethullah Gulen, residing in the United States, of being behind the failed coup attempt on July 15, 2016.
